Dan Ascart (ダン・アスカルト) is the current prime minister of Sorcier, the husband of Radea Ascart and the father of Nicol Ascart and Sophia Ascart.
Appearance[]
Dan is a tall and handsome young man with black hair that has bangs hanging on either side of his face and black eyes, just like Nicol Ascart. [1]
Personality[]
Dan is a very smart and intelligent man who is described by Nicol Ascart as having a very laid back personality where he has a act-first-think-later mentality, which his daughter Sophia Ascart inherits.
Background[]
Dan is famous among high society for being the rumored Count who was successfully able to attain the position of Prime Minister, who directly serves under the king. He is typically seen working in the Magic Ministry.
When he was young, he had fallen in love with Radea Ascart, who was already engaged to another man. Despite this, he attempted to ask for her hand to her father, but was rejected. Radea's father taunted him, telling him that he will only approve of his proposal if he was to become Prime Minister. Unbeknownst to Radea's father, Dan immediately rose through the ranks incredibly quickly, and attained the position. Though the conditions were merely a jest, Radea's father admitted that Dan was truly worthy of his beloved before the two were engaged and married. [2]

Radea Ascart[]
Dan and Radea are a very close and loving couple, to the point where their son feels embarrassed watching them. During their youth, Dan had fallen in love with Radea, despite the fact that she was already engaged to another man. In his love for her, he worked his way into the position of Prime Minister in order to gain the approval of Radea's father. Dan is quite embarrassed about the history of their marriage, as it might give the wrong implications to other nobles, but Radea happily recounts the memory and gladly shares the story around in full detail.
Nicol Ascart[]
Dan is a loving father to his son Nicol, and his very grateful to his son's interests and desires to help him out with work. He is somewhat aware that his son holds unrequited feelings for a woman, and decides to support him in his pursuits. This causes him to be vexed when Nicol at one point tries to rush into finding a fiancé. He wants Nicol to marry a woman he loves, just like he had with his own wife.
Sophia Ascart[]
Dan is very loving and protective of his daughter, not minding any foul rumors and accusations involving her. He allows Sophia to stay in her room in solitude, if that is what needs to be done for her to feel safe.
According to Nicol, Sophia and Dan resemble each other very much. [3]
Katarina Claes[]
Dan and Radea are very grateful for Katarina's friendship with their daughter Sophia. Despite his busy schedule, he would try to make time to great Katarina during her visits to the Ascart Estate, alongside his wife as a sign of their gratitude.
