Kai Gerran (カイ・ゲラン) is a minor character in the My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Desperate Situation! On the Verge of Doom spin-off manga. He is a medicinal magic instructor in the Magic Academy and is currently Katarina's sword training teacher.

Gerran is a tall man with russet-colored hair and brown eyes. He wears a brown suit with a matching waistcoat and a red tie.

Gerran is one of the professors in the Magic Academy, who works in the Magic Ministry in his free time. He used to be a knight for the kingdom, and would often teach sword fighting to young men who also aims to join the knights.

Katarina Claes[]
He is Katarina's sword training teacher inn the Magic Academy. While he was reluctant to teach Katarina how to wield a sword as it was something he exclusively offers to knights, he changed his mind and agreed to train her. Through a friendly relationship with Katarina, he plans to use her to eventually recruit Maria into his department in the ministry through recommendations. Gerran is a laid-back teacher who often reprimands Katarina for her aggressive and often thoughtless swinging of her blade, but admires her energy and optimism in learning.

Maria Campbell[]
He is interested in Maria's light magic, and desires to recruit her into his department in the Magic Ministry[2].
Geordo Stuart[]
Gerran is wary of Prince Geordo, as losing Katarina as his student through the prince's intervention would risk losing his chance of becoming close with Maria. He is impressed with Geordo's sword fighting skills. Gerran recognizes that the prince is also very wary of him, due to his seemingly growing relationship with Katarina.
