Tom Wisley (commonly known as Gardener Tom) is the head gardener of the Claes family.
Appearance[]
Tom is an old man with a rugged face. He is usually seen with a straw hat and a towel on his shoulders, with a gray gardening attire.
Personality[]
Tom dislikes talking, so he usually keeps to himself as he works. He is bad at dealing with people, leading him to be tricked and pushed around by those around him.
Background[]
Tom was born in a poor village. Ever since he was young, he has been good with his hands and with plants, leading him to be hired to fix and tend gardens for nobles. For as long as he can remember, he has been passed around different households as a servant. He usually only works one-time jobs for nobles, as no family liked him enough to hire him full time.
After meeting the former head of the Claes Family, he was hired as a full-time gardener for his talent with tending plants. In the Claes Manor, Tom was able to work more comfortably with generous pay and a friendly work environment, thanks to the encouragement of the former duke.
Relationships[]
Former Duke Claes[]
Tom and the former Duke met when they were both still young. After finding out that Tom had no consistent place of work, he hired him into the Claes Manor just before he officially took over as the head of the family. The duke was in awe of how talented he is at gardening and would complement his garden enthusiastically.
Tom and the Duke would often hang out in the nearby town in disguises during their free time. They would do it often enough that they recognized each other as friends. The duke becomes Tom's first friend. As their friendship blossomed, Tom worked harder and harder in order to repay his friends and eventually got appointed as head gardener of the Claes Manor. After the Duke died, he felt less enthusiastic about gardening, but continued to do so as it was the job that his old friend gifted to him. [1]
Katarina Claes[]
As the Claes Manor's head gardener, Katarina constantly asked Tom for advice when it comes to gardening, creating projectile snakes, and help in tending to her small field. Katarina's enthusiastic energy reminded him of his old friend, and made him enjoy going to town and gardening again.

- Tom is the one helping Katarina create and improve her toy snakes to use against Prince Geordo.
